SIMON MESSENGER
Simon Messenger has worked or studied in the climate change field for almost 20 years and is the founder and CEO of 1Planet Advisory, a sustainability reporting and sustainable finance consultancy.
He has held a number of senior roles in the broader field of sustainability reporting and sustainable finance, including for a number of international not-for-profit organisations and think tanks, such as the UN Environment Programme, and has worked with hundreds of financial institutions and companies advising them on how to integrate climate change into their strategies.
Simon holds a Masters with Distinction in Ecological Economics and a First Class BSc (Hons) in Environmental Geoscience, both from the University of Edinburgh (UK).
DAVID CARLIN
David Carlin is a recognised expert on climate change and its implications for the financial system with 15+ years of experience. He has authored numerous reports on climate change and finance and has developed and run a number of capacity-building programmes for financial institutions, corporates and regulatory bodies.

He has worked with over 100 global banks, insurers and investors as well as international intra-governmental organisations, and recently founded D.A. Carlin and Company, an advisory consultancy. He is currently a researcher at King’s College and at the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership.
David's background is in quantitative modelling and decision science.
